Accreditations, Qualifications and Affiliations


The BPA acts as a forum for discussion on policy and practice and is often consulted by government departments such as the DfT and the Home Office. Increasingly, as the BPA works on raising standards within the parking industry, we are asked to comment on various parking related issues by the press.

By joining the Association we are part of a greater body that is increasingly seen as the representatives of the parking industry.



ISOQAR is an accredited certification body. We hold an ISO 9001 certificate; this is an internationally recognised standard for the quality management of business.This accreditation enables Island Group:
• To motivate staff as they know their roles and responsibilities in the business.
• Greater business control, allowing increased efficiency and productivity.





ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management systems and is now the most widely used EMS in the world. The standard enables Island Group to drive improvement in overall environmental performance through:

• Prevention of pollution
• Compliance with legislation
• Continual improvement of the EMS



We are members of the NIC/EIC and hold a certificate in the requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2001. We also hold a certificate as a Domestic Installer. These certifications include the national electrical safety standard BS 7671 and the IEE wiring regulations.




The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (Section 2(3)) places a duty on employers who have five or more people to have a written statement of their health and safety policy.

The CHAS scheme demonstrates that Island Group is compliant with all important parts of health and safety law.






SAFEcontractor is an accreditation scheme that assesses the health & safety competency of contractors and service providers.

The major benefits of registration are:
• To ensure that all of their contractors are health & safety accredited.
• To reduce risk within their organisations.
• To have someone manage their contractor lists more efficiently and cost effectively.





As a registered member of the British Safety Council we are committed to working towards Health, Safety and Environmental best practice. The British Safety Council is one of the world's leading occupational health, safety and environmental organisations.





Constructionline is the UK’s list of pre-qualified local and national construction or construction based contractors and consultants. Registration includes approval by OGC leaders.
